Co-Founder: Mr. Richard Lightfoot
Richard is currently a primary school teacher where he is the lead practitioner for Physical Education, at an 'Outstanding' Ofsted rated school. He has been a Specialist Leader of Education (SLE) for Primary PE and holds a range of coaching qualifications across multiple sports. His coaching and teaching career spans 20 years and has taken in grassroots and elite level performance. Recently, Richard has embarked on the journey to become a Youth Sport Strength and Conditioning coach completing the initial part of this in December 2023 and moving onto the Level 4 Strength and Conditioning qualification this year. Richard has successfully undertaken a number of positions within the coaching and fitness industry; personal trainer, sports coach, Secondary PE and Primary teacher are the key roles fulfilled to date.
Co-Founder: Mr. Andrew Greene
Having worked at the same 'Outstanding' Ofsted rated Junior School for the past 9 years, Andrew has vast experience in sports coaching and PE teaching. A Level 5 Primary PE Specialist, Andrew is also currently studying for an honours degree at the University of Bedfordshire. Before working in his full time job as a PE Specialist, Andrew has held various roles in Sports and Recreation where he obtained an understanding of the administration and business side within the respective sector, as well as gaining valuable coaching experience and qualifications such as Level 2 Fitness/Gym Instruction and Level 2 Leisure Operations. Andrew has also attained introductory course certificates through the PFSA for Football Scouting and Football Intermediary.
Social Media Manager and Coach: Miss. Sophie Greatbanks
Sophie has worked within the education sector for 11 years and brings a wealth of experience to the PhysicalEd+ team. Having always had the ambition to teach, Sophie became a fully qualified teacher (QTS) in 2022 after completing her University degree in Applied Education Studies, all whilst working in a full time role as a HLTA. She currently works as a class teacher in an 'Outstanding' Ofsted rated Junior School where she is a hugely valued member of staff. Sophie's impressive work ethic is evident, and her experience - which includes working for other coaching companies on Saturday mornings and during holiday camps - is invaluable and makes her a great asset to our company.
